A new star is rising in the UK’s flourishing jazz scene.
Ezra Collective, an award-winning London-based five piece whose live performances have earned praise from the likes of Boiler Room and Gilles Peterson, have announced their biggest headline show to date.
Introduced to the world as “one of the UK’s finest young jazz collectives” on their Boiler Room debut back in May 2016, the group followed up on the release of their debut EP ‘Chapter 7’ with a series of stunning live performances. After earning further praise with shows at the Worldwide Awards, Ronnie Scott’s and at festivals up and down the UK, the group has earned itself a loyal, steadily growing fan base.
To celebrate the release of their highly anticipated new EP ‘Juan Pablo the Philosopher’, Ezra Collective will be bringing their unique blend of jazz, hip-hop, reggae and afro beat to the Islington Assembly Hall on Sunday 19th November.
The first track from the EP, ‘Space is the Place’, is now available through Spotify. Listen to it alongside the likes of Portico Quartet, Floating Points and BadBadNotGood on the EL SONIDO: Spotify playlist.
